Mistaken Identity

Mistaken Identity

The Bonsai Sekiyu Kai was generous with its door and raffle prizes at their show this past weekend. I actually won a couple trees, a small pot, and a pair of clippers!

One of the trees is this little one, which I’ve been calling by the wrong name for several years. All the poorly printed lables read: “Cottoneaster.” Looks like cotton easter to me. I was saved from embarrassment by someone who originally suffered the same fate and quickly said, “Oh, you won a nice Cottone Aster. It’ll need some wiring.” (ya, and how many don’?)

Face saved, disguised as a casual comment.
