Bloodgood Japanese Maple

New acquisition as it came from the shop. Scrawny, it must have gotten too dry. Then we got rain and it’s soil was much too wet. You can see the droopy leaves. There was a healthier “sister” tree that had avoided whatever got to this one, but the trunk on this one is more interesting.
First steps: get it out of the soggy soil into bonsai mix and do the initial pruning.
