Mermaid Sighting

Mermaid Sighting

While snorkeling at Rottnest Island, several of us were surprised by this mermaid swimming in. She came in close to shore and swam out near some of the snorkelers, quite brave. She was joined later by two more, both purple. Silly me, I only took one other photo, of this one. Wish I’d gotten more pics!
Oh, my snorkeling photos will have to wait until I get the pictures back from the developer – yes, real film!

Nyadeae aqualius, ssp virginius; common name: Little Mermaid. I think her mom called her Susan.
