Lake Daylesford

Lake Daylesford

This lovely little spot is about 2 mins. drive from Jade’s home. We had a nice walk past the mineral springs (sulfer spiced fizzy water accessed via hand pumps) and a small bit of Dionysos in a tiny ampetheater built into a hillside, the stage back dropped by the lake. An old bath house sits across the lake to the right, yellow limestone slowly melting under the influence of lichens and rain. There were at least eight species of gum (eucalyptus) trees en-route. . . .

Thank you for the photo and the description … Closed my eyes and imagined I was there, heavenly.

Morgan, I am delighted to read your descriptive travelogue… once I got past the intense envy, I’m settling down to vicarious enjoyment of your odyssey. Write on, dear sister!
